Drive. Talk. Connect.

A car on the outside. A conversation waiting to happen underneath.
I take my car to meets, the same ones you go to, and I use it to start conversations men usually don’t get to have. No agenda, no lecture. Just a car that says something different, and a driver happy to talk if you are.
Find me at the meets. Join the WhatsApp if you want in on what’s next.
Why I do this
Men are lonelier than ever, even at a full car park.
I love driving my Lotus Evora on short and long road trips, often ending up at car cafes like Podium Place or Caffeine & Machine. The only topic of discussion is usually cars, and while I enjoy that, I always crave more. I’m curious, and I love learning people’s stories beyond their automotive problems and what they’re planning to buy or upgrade next. Every now and then a conversation drifts somewhere deeper, and I end up making a real friend rather than just a car-park acquaintance. I realised I’m not alone in craving that.
That’s the gap Drive Talk Connect is trying to close. Car meets are full of men standing around, talking freely about engines, trackdays, and paint codes, but almost never about how they’re actually doing. I’m not a therapist, and this isn’t a support group. It’s a space for men to open up about whatever’s actually going on for them, backed by my experience mentoring men and running men’s circles. Just a guy with a wrapped car and a habit of asking the second question… the one after “nice car, what’s under the bonnet”.
The men’s movement is growing because men are waking up to the cost of silence. Drive Talk Connect is the same idea, parked somewhere you already hang out. Many men haven’t been asked “how are you, really?” in years. That’s why it’s the first thing you’ll read on the back of my car.
You checked your oil
Have you checked on your mate?
How it works (for now)
Simple, honest, no bullshit.
No structure, no sign-up sheet, no forced sharing. Just a car that opens a door, and a conversation if you want one. Space where we can connect and talk about what is important.
Show up
to the meets you already go to. I’ll be there with the car.
Talk, or don't
no pressure. Ask about the car, stay for the rest if it goes there.
Read the car
the wrap says what most cars don’t. That’s the opener.
Stay connected
join the WhatsApp group to keep the conversation going after the meet ends.
What’s next
Events are coming. This is the groundwork.
Right now there’s no calendar, no fixed meet, just me, the car, and whichever car events are already happening around London.
That’s deliberate. Awareness first, structure later.
When Drive Talk Connect events start, the WhatsApp group hears first.

Let’s build this together
Open to collaborations
Drive Walk Connect is just getting started, and it’s better with the right people behind it. If you’re a car meet organiser, a car cafe, a dealership, or a brand that lives in the automotive world and you care about the men who show up in your car park as much as the cars they drive… Let’s talk.
That could look like:
- Hosting a meet-up — space for a Drive Walk Connect stop at your regular event
- Co-branding a wrap or sticker run — your logo, our message
- Sponsoring the next phase — helping fund proper events once we move past awareness
- Just spreading the word — sharing this with your community
Drop me a message and let’s figure out what makes sense.
About the organiser
Andrew Winnicki
I’m a petrolhead, but also a mentor, facilitator, and tech leader based in London. I run Men’s Square – a community built around honest male connection. Like a lot of men, cars have been a language I could speak when feelings weren’t. Drive Talk Connect started because I wanted to bring the honest conversation from Men Walk & Talk and Men’s Circles into a space where men already gather, but rarely go deep: the car scene.
Cars have been part of my story a long time before this. I was lucky enough to drive plenty of cars in my life. This green Evora is my 31st car in about 23 years, and my sixth Lotus. My background is mostly Lotus and Honda – Elises, Exiges, Civics, a Prelude, a CRX, and a few others. But I’ve had plenty of other fun along the way too: a Nissan Skyline R34, an Alpine A110, a Supra, a Cayman, a GR Yaris, and a few boring daily drivers in between. I love road trips around Wales, the odd track day, but most importantly, just enjoying a morning tea and great conversation with fellow car owners.
